It is possible that your wife may want to get separated from you with the cause that you are not able to earn sufficient money to run the family. If that is the situation, then there is no point of giving the maintenance to her for getting separated from you on financial inability. If you agree to this and do not want to bear any responsibility for her expenses, then go for a lawyer who would argue in the court of law for not giving the wife maintenance which is very much agreed in your situation. Also, if you have registered enough of property in her name then also you could escape from maintenance amount.
